For 19 years we’ve been emailing the Escazu News out monthly. One could say that we pioneered a different form of information and possibly one of the first blogs in Costa Rica.
And to think that over 21 years ago I had
to personally deliver a brochure to my Zucaes Real Estate clients. I even had
some colleagues blatantly copy my brochure, removing my name with correction
fluid and putting another cover on it to make it look like it was theirs. The
interesting thing was that if they had just asked, I gladly would have allowed
them to use the brochure without having to remove a single letter.
With
new technology and the creation of the Internet and emails, I decided to
communicate via the web, and this is how the Escazu News was born.
Fast
forward years later - we update information with the different tools of the
century.
Such as the web site http://EscazuNews.com (soon to be modified) and http://EscazuNews.blogspot.com blog that keeps you informed of the latest information.
We have two sets of
information pages in the YAHOO Message Boards. One bilingual - the EscazuNews
- https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/EscazuNews/info
The
other in English - Costa Rica Central Valley Living - https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/CostaRicaCentralValleyLiving/info
A group for you to share recommendations - Escazu & Santa Ana....i love Escazu & Santa Ana - https://facebook.com/groups/52230184542
Our information directory on http://zucaes.com/directorio is used by many of you and is always being updated.
And Zucaes Real Estate brings you the latest places for sale and for rent in the Escazu and neighboring areas.
As you can see,
we’re a wealth of information with a variety of formats for all
audiences.
Today, 19 years later, we continue to send you our monthly
information because, as one of our readers said many years ago: "Reading the
Escazú News is addicting."
I must thank Jorge Oller’s Tribu advertising agency for creating my portrait on the broom and Wady Calvo for the logo we currently use.
The Escazu News was a
baby that grew and grew to reach the maturity it is today thanks to better
technology and always fresh and practical information.
With information on services
(plumbers, electricians, etc.), restaurants, events, banks, schools and colleges
for your personal needs and the noncommercial side with information from your
municipalities, and more.
Thanks to all our readers, some regulars from the start, as well as our new ones who are just starting with us and we hope to sharing information with you for the next 19 years of publication. Daniel
